What started as a fun kitchen project between my mom, sister, and me back in middle school has become one of our most cherished recipes. We always loved a good rice-crispy treat, but over the years we felt the quality slipped while prices climbed. So, we made our own. Slowly browned butter, gooey marshmallows, and crisp cereal crafted with care. The recipe hasn’t changed much since those days, carrying the same spirit of comfort, family, and simple joy.
This year (2025), when I had no other reasonable pan to use for a 4th of July batch, I pressed the mix into a bundt cake pan...and people loved it! That happy accident became the start of the Marshmallow Loaf, a new way to enjoy this nostalgic treat: as a whole loaf, half loaf, or pre-sliced to share! Enjoy!
